I like the storage of the hard bags but just can't see covering up that awesome back tire. I'm going with a nice bag behind the seat held by bungee. It will sit on fender guards and is easily removable.
Sharp, very sharp :bigthumbsup:polartek said:Looking for Corbin (or anyone else) to do something like this for a nice set of hard saddlebags to match the bike and integrate the turn signals:

Tried to match the chrome of the front light to pull it together and leave enough room for someone to still sit on the back.
Corbin makes some hardbags for the VRod and the Yahamas, but they are too 'swoopy' for what I would like to see them create for the R.
Any thoughts?

Yes. I took a snap of the headlight 'cone' and started with that as the jump off point.ppridgen1 said:did you design those ?
Sweet, maybe they are finally reading my mind. I'd like to see a photo of what they came up with.because Ive seen that pic before and there were hardbags already built by suzuki on at least one prtotype that look just like it, Iv'e seen the pic online of it sitting in the showroom.
I drew in the outline of where I thought a driver/passenger positions would be during the design phase to try and keep the bags out of the way. If I get some time, I will save it off to a .jpg file and post it.Also saddle bag has no interferance with rider,Â
Good job!I've modified some soft ones with a quarter inch rodstock welded a cage inside for stiffness and they are nowhere near my wifes but or feet
Same here,,long trips,,there needed ,,but pull away the LOOK..I'd still like to have a quick on off setup for long trips...phaed said:those are nice. as much as i'm against puttin bags, windshield, 2-up seat on this bike, i'd consider buying something like that if they were easilly removable.
