This might be a bad question but have anyone seem to have problems with getting use to how it handle?

I am thinking that is it more me than the bike due to only been riding it for about 3 days and i traded in a 1600 Vulcan for it, i know they are completely different turn styles but figure i would ask the questions all the same i have taken some long sweepers at a higher rate of speed and it seem to do fine it seems like the bike is turning OK but too me it feels kind of weird.

Mine feels very much like my Mean Streak to me but then I don't explore the limits much.
After reading how heavy the 109 was it was a surprise to actually ride it as it feels lighter if anything and seems to have more ground clearance.

I am coming from a sport bike (CBR600RR) so it's world's apart from what I was used to. Mine feels like it's on a swivel, which I think is a good thing. I have never felt a bike that is this heavy, but feels this light. I only have 150 miles on it, so I haven't pushed it beyond 5/10th's.

I too came to the M109 from a big fatty cruiser, and yes, it handles differently. It will take getting used to. I can tell you that if you traded your Vulcan for a Rebel 250, that would ALSO take getting used to... ;)

You've only had the bike three days. By the time you get to your first service, you should be flicking the thing around no problem!

I agree sixshooter, this bike handles very well for a big heavy bike. For a while the buzz on the wide rear tire was that there would be a lack of neutral steering with the low sidewalls and small contact area on the side of the tire. In fact this tire was made just for this bike so there was some speculation as to how well it would do. I like it but it really needs to be warmed up a bit before you thrash it.

OK i think i figure out what is going on i check my tires today and notice that i got some wide wear lines from where i am leaning the bike into the corners so i think what i am doing is trying to lean too far in slow turns and getting my self into trouble had one of the guys i ride with and he said when i take a turn i am getting very low in the corners so i guess the bike handles fine it is me who need to be fine tune.............LOL

this is my first bike so I have nothing to compare it to!

I will say It is very easy to ride! and turns great! I have been on nothing but my 660 raptor riding off road!

I picked a hell of a bike to learn on! still respecting the power! have not got on it yet and will not for a few hundred more miles but I did have a sweet ride to work this a.m. 32 miles
