I know when I change mine it tends to spry a little oil on the rim at first but goes away. I was very clean about the last change to see if it sprayed it on the rim and it did. No big thing. Its stops. Not going to figure that one out long as it stops. Some jump the gun and change seals. I guess if it didn't stop I'd have to change them out.
I've used the Amsoil in a lot of different bikes over 25 yrs. It's always performed well. It also helps the seals last longer. I've never had to change them on any of the bikes. Even after putting over 100K on a couple of them.
