So I got an urge just to get up an stretch out my legs (and crutches) and walk out to the shed and turn on the key to my new LE I brought home last Saturday. Doesn't get any more fresh than "0" on the odometer. The dealer in Tennessee assembled it and didn't get to test ride it since it was raining heavily. My dealer rolled it into his trailer when they picked it up and off into their warehouse.... still raining....I picked it up....still raining.

Nice! I had a picture like that just 3 months ago. I like the picture better today with 2200 in place of the 0 :D. Those miles (or in my case kilometers) add up real fast on this bike . Congrats on the new ride too!

Congrats, but I'm surprised they let you take it without the set up mechanic running a shakedown first. Mine showed 14 miles when the keys were handed over.

My first one had 6 miles on it when I took it home. Not sure what the story is that kept anyone from assembling and test riding the bike at the original dealership, but my dealer needed to pick it up and deliver it to me so that the insurance company could close the vehicle claim and take possession of my wrecked bike. They were paying storage on it in the wrecking yard and I wouldn't release it until they got the new one processed.

Hey Nate , if you have some free time ,
I have an easy job for you on your crutches ...
go to your bike and bring a phillips scewdriver ( + )
under the front flashers there is a small screw , undo it
and if there is no trace of locktite (blue) , you might want
to take the 2 screws out , put some locktite on ,
and screw them back in.

I was riding this week and felt something hit my left shoe
I figured it was some debris from the road , until a few miles later
I noticed my left front flasher pointing to the ground , few
miles more , and it came out of its hole and was hanging by the
wires , the dealer when assembling the bike obviously did not
put locktite on these screws , vibrations got them loose , now
with the blue stuff I should not get bothered again .

If it happens to someone else , and they get directed here
with search engine , the screw is metric 6 X 10 , half inch long.

I"ll check on that screw Kazimodo. Thanks.

Too put everybody else at ease, I kinda felt like some of you and didn't want the bike to sit here without a shake down and then have problems later on. My dad was eyein' it up yesterday, so I had him grab the key and take her on the maiden voyage. All good....
