Finally found one!

Hello all. I'm sure I'll be visiting the pages here often since I pick up my 2009 M109R this Friday.

This has been my dream bike for a very long time and excited to finally have one added to my fleet.

I've already been dreaming of upgrades. Job one over the winter will be improving the air intake. Always loved the Hypercharger look. Any thoughts?

Some of the best mods in my opinion are:
1- ECU Flash and Dyno (PAIR, SET etc)
2- Intake Mod
3- Exhaust
4- Shift Star
5- Healtech Quick Shift
6- Lowering (looks only)
5- Seat maybe

I've done 1 to 6 and love the way she flies now.

Welcome to the forum and the 109 world! Just about anything you want to know on here can be found with the search box at the top of every page. If you don't find what you need, just ask. The Hyperchargers are a good system, but they don't make them specifically for the 9 so one side is a little different than the other.

What intake would you recommend?

I've got the Cobra Power Flow intakes , they're similar to the Hyperchargers , but tuck in better. They've got nice billet plenums behind them that let them sit evenly , instead of the cheap sheet metal , triangle shaped adapters that mount to the stock plastic air cleaners. Just about anything is better than the stock boxes. Even replacing the stock filter with K&N replacements is an OK upgrade. I don't care for the spike type filters as not many of those have decent size inlets to the cone filter.

Here's a bunch of different ones on Meancycles' website. As long as you go with something that is larger and open, they work pretty much the same. The Power Flow that Joe mentioned are good too.

If you see something you like there, shop around for the price. I think some of theirs are priced wrong. There's 3 pages of them too.
Congratulations on your new M109, and welcome to the forum!
There is a very old thread called "Bang for your buck mods" by Rynosback that you may want to read. Ask questions if you have any.
Cheers!
