Factory Service Manual

Took the bike for a quick spin this afternoon and visited the dealer. Ordered a Factory Service Manual and they were unsure of the price. Had a message from the parts counterperson when I arrived home. Manual will be in next week. Cost quoted with tax included $58.50. Sounds reasonable as I paid $60 for a VTX Manual.

ordered one last week. called today to check on it, and they said that suzuki is changing publishers, and it will take a couple of weeks more to get. these are the same folks that told me i should never use synthetic oil in a motorcycle. i'm not sure i trust anything they say.

I'll let you know if mine arrives next week. First I heard that Suzuki was switching publishers??? I'll probably hear that same line next week if the stealer doesn't get mine!
Mine is backordered as well. I figured it was because they were trying to fill demand from repair shops first. I could be wrong... although it would be the first time.  ;)
called my dealer today to order a manual and he said it wasn't available yet ? I also called about my spanner wrench and asked the guy if I could buy a manual from him and he told me I couldn't buy anything directly from Suzuki . N o other dealers in this area , wonder where I could get one?
I will call my dealer tomarrow and find out what's up with my service manual. Suzuki informed me that they had them in stock in California. That was a week ago.
Yes Yes Yes! It's in!
Stopped at the dealer this P.M. to check on my factory manual......still not in!!!
2 different dealers tellin me they can't get it. called suzuki, they said they have them in stock, and that the dealers are screwed up. called dealers back, and they called suzuki, and tell me they aren't in stock and aren't expected at least for 3 weeks. very frustrating.
Mine came in... picked it up on Wednesday. It's a BIG book!
Finally....after two months I got my Service Manual.....it came in and the dealer never called me. I stopped by today and had one of the counter people check and sure enough it was in their parts room. This is a great manual....it retailed for $70.00 and they discounted it to $63.00 tax included.

Looks like I'll be doing some heavy reading!
order it online at www.oneidasuzuki.com you will have it in a week. $60 for the manual and $10 shipping, no hassles.
I am waiting as well but the 9 is also in need of its first service. I'll have to pay the stealer to do the service if I want to continue riding hard. I also have the wheel tool on order.
