Re: ESCORTED RIDE

I hope to be in Texas and in Austin during that time frame. May just have to participate in this one if scheduling permits! I left the Army with all my limbs in more or less proper working order (your knees are never the same after a few 20 mile marches with 70lbs of gear), but I know a lot of people older and younger than myself that didn't.

Look for a Silver 109, one of them will be me most likely!

well we had another great ride,
the ride out was a bit cold but it did worn up nicely.
we had about 500 bikes do the ride and we raised about $55,000 for the injured men and women at Brooke Army Medical Center.
all in all it was a great day, even if i was the ONLY M109r out there. that's right
500 bikes and me the only 109 out there.
tell next time
ride safe
George

Dude, I drove right passed you guys. I was on my way to SA to visit my Pop and saw the ride. I had my wife and son with me so we were in the car. I was wondering what the ride was and who it was for. Unforunately, I didn't see you in the pack. I was looking for a 109 and thought I would see one with that many bikes in the parade but I must have missed you. Glad you had a good run!

we left Houston in two groups of 200 bikes.
i was in group two. then we went to our gas stop and regrouped at the new rest area about 50mi, east of S.A. where we picked up about 100 moor bikes.
from there we left in groups of 50 bikes to make the ride onto the bass faster.
maybe we can git a group of 109's next year??
