I have never measured it, but if I remember correctly it varies. It is not the same size all of the way through.

Thanks, I'm not planning on machining down the shaft. I have a spare swing arm and want to cut the notches for a 300 tire while it is off the bike. If I know the shaft size, I can run a round bar through the center of the tube and make the notch to clear the driveshaft without having to do it while the swing arm is on the bike.
It looks like the shaft is about 3/4" diameter,from the picture.

The shaft is 21mm , Quickly went and pulled the drive to help you guys out !!!:bigthumbsup::bigthumbsup::bigthumbsup:
