I'm changing my rear drive oil soon and woundering is there a crush washer on the drain plug and if so is it the same as the engine oil drian plug? I checked Service manual but no mention of it. Thanks

There is one on the drain plug, and it's the same one as the engine uses.

I've changed my engine drain plug crush washers a couple times, but the final drive is still the original. You can use them more than once as long as they are in good shape.

I always replaced mine and tossed the old ones...but my last service I had all the vitals drained and found I had misplaced the replacement package I always keep in my barn...CRS..:doh: I lightly sanded the old ones after retrieving them from my drain bucket and reused them much to my chagrin. It's been almost 500 miles and no seepage...and I'm still looking for that pack of drain rings in the barn :D
