Just curious where everyone else cruises at since the M109R offers such a wide range. Personally, I prefer between 4k - 4.5k. Sometimes I "putt" at 3200 or so and pretend I'm riding a different V-Twin. Got to thinking about it yesterday when I read that max torque is at around 6200 for the M109R.

Don't think so, more like 4800 for torque, 6200 is about max for hp... least on stock.. Here's a few of the dyno charts I found with a search.. Second one shows torque decreasing after around 4500 or so, third shows decreasing after a bit less. All show HP peaking around 6k-ish.

Oops, my bad... reading without comprehension again!

Hmmmm. 5th gear 80mph. 5th gear 90mph. 5th gear 100mph .... and so on. All render different rpm. Not sure what to answer here.

See? I look at it more the other way around. Most particularly on the M109 where the tach is way more visible than the speedometer.
