I bought these bars used and when I went to put them on I noticed that the left side had this huge gap at the lower mounting point. The bars come with spacers but not this wide. The right side fits perfect.

Do I have the wrong crash Bars for my bike? It's an 07 M109r thanks

I just so happen to have my '12 apart right now so I snapped a couple pics. No, the lower gap shouldn't be that large. Not sure if it's the reflection but the angle of the upper bend looks off. Maybe the bars are tweaked a bit?

I was going to suggest what Joe said, just push them in. That upper bracket will bend and should let them mount. And while I'm thinking about it, check that upper bolt and make sure it doesn't come through enough to hit the water hose behind it.

Loosen the top mount, install the lower bolt and tighten both equally........DONE.
Best way to install most everything. Get all the fasteners installed loosely. Then tighten them up.

I work on aircraft, and a lot of the time, it's the only way to get them all in. Sometimes you have to put them in a an unusual order to get them in.
