i think my bike is running a little hot im new to the 109r bikes fan cycles on sometimes when driving slow speeds everything seems fine but bike only has 3000 miles its a 2007 and i have no idea where i check coolant level


is there a light that will come on when bike is running to hot ?????
do i have to remove all the plastics around rad to check coolant level ????

please help

The coolant reservoir is right in front of the left driver's footpeg bracket. It's a milky white tube that is behind the radiator side cover. There's a vertical tube on the side with a low and high mark that you can easily see once you find it. As long as the level is between the marks you're OK. Since the material is milky colored, you might have to tilt the bike left and right a little to see the level move.

If you need to add coolant, you can either remove the side covers and pop the rubber cap off the reservoir, or squirt it in through the overflow hose that hangs below the bike.

There is a light that comes on if the bike gets too hot.

Being a 07 and only having 3000 miles I would tend to check the fuel once a month to be safe.:joke:
