Good evening Gents.
I recently acquired a 2018 m109r, and looking at modifying it here and there. Generally I love it as it came from the factory, but still..
The question is: I have found a taillight which I would put onto it, but the description says it's for models up to 2015 only. Is there any difference, by just looking at it, seems to be identical..
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Cheers! 🍻
No, there is no difference, many internet sellers do not
bother to update their listings, so do not worry it will fit.
A note,
some of the aftermarket tail lights are not all that
good, I would research it on this forum and elsewhere,
before you buy... JMHO Good luck!

Thanks for this, I'll give it a go.
I did the research but found no information about this particular one.. probably I'll be the first one here to review it?
LED Taillight Tint Suzuki VZR 1800 Intruder M1800 R wvca E-Mark New | eBay

There is a lots of them around which are having smoked glasses, and as I read it in the forums they may restrict the light (as tinting it would do too). I found only this one which seems to have a clear glass but a black lens, so it still looks dark.. Hoping for the best, I'll place the order.
if you want an OEM original, I still have mine. I put an aftermarket one on. they sell some on trickedoutcycles.com. I love mine. black/red to match my paint.
I just checked out trickedoutcycles again. they have 5 or 6 to choose from. I would check there first. smoked and clear lenses.
If at all possible to go by and pick product up from tricked out
I would . Or make sure you use pay pal .

This might be helpfull when deciding...:
M109R traillight OEM VS REVO/TOPZONE/China made
Some of those aftermarket lights are smoked and consequently let pass way less light out than the factory ones .
In a motorcycle , you want the rear light to be as brighter as possible to avoid being rammed from behind . Visibility is your greatest asset , so the rest of the traffic will be aware that you are in front .
It may look cool , but you cut end up in the hospital or worse .
Just saying ...
I would , instead , replace the "beaver tail " for a side license plate . That will make the bike to look even better without sacrificing safety.

Nice color combo super jelly. If you like it put it on. But do make sure you are getting good quality. Dont get cheap stuff cause you gonna mess up the look and pay again
Well it has E mark
And it's a German seller
So it probably also has TÜV
So brightness should comply to regulations
I just tinted mine in a heavy smoke tint. Looks black when off and still ok during the Australian daytime. Cost me $50 Aud.

Hi there.
Thanks for the replies. The light arrived today - it's 100% plug&play, there were no issues installing it.
As expected, with the clear lens it is just as good as the factory one, the light does not seem to be restricted at all.
The looks - I love it (apart from the bike being dirty)..

I want as much visibility as I can have on the rear of the bike .
I don`t know in Australia or even in Europe , but here in the US, we are surrounded by morons that drive aggressively and you can be waiting for a red light at an intersection and be hit from behind hard , specially at nighttime .
The rear signal lights are leds and are underneath the rear fender . They are way more brilliant that the ugly factory lights . .
My bike :
factory light off

factory light on

left signal light on

Same cage drivers everywhere bud.. some worse than others.

I have a stebel mounted under the headlight cage. It works juust fiine...

Rear light wise, the smoked lens makes little difference when active (Ign on, brake on) but looks way better when the bike is off though.. especially on a black bike..
