I need to order a fuel strainer due to bad gas. But until I order one is there any way to clean it really good so I don't put a new one in and get residual crap from the tank on the new one? I got it out just need to find out what I could use to clean it really good. Thanks guys. Oh and what would be a good fuel system cleaner I can run thru to clean the injectors and other stuff the bad gas contaminated? It's only got 1200 miles on the bike.

I tried cleaning mine and did NOT like the result. Just replace it I know not cheap but what else you going to do. I wasn't going to take the chance.

Ive used seafoam to clean filters when in the field ( older than dirt equipment)and have no replacement. It works but it may also ruin it.

I plan on replacing it anyways I just don't want to get a new one, and run a tank of gas with some fuel system cleaner in it and the residual crap on the tank walls fook up the new strainer. Thats why i was just wondering if it could be cleaned until i get a new one and some gas run thru the system.
