did you polish them then paint? Other than tape what kind of prep did you need to do to get the paint to hold well?

I love the wheels. It really sets off the bike and is the only way I could live with my stock wheels any longer.

I done the exact same thing to mine except I used powdercoat in a satin black. I can tell you it took around 6 hours or so per wheel just to do the powdercoat. I would spray the entire wheel and then go back with one of those tiny vacum cleaner brushes you would use on a computer keyboard and vacum off all of the powder that I did not want on there. Well worth the trouble though.

We used a degreaser-wax remover and then used etching primer.I polished my wheel 2 years ago and left the silver in the center of the wheel.
