Brakes, ( Petal )

Ok I had my bike sit up for about 14 months for my medical reason, without pressing the brake petal. I started the bike ever week, rolled it some in shop and worked the brake lever but never got on it to press the petal. A week ago I tried to ride it. Run great but I had no brakes when using the Petal. Bike is like new , Never rained on. Kept in air / Heated shop. 17 k miles. Could be be air in line?

It's good to see you back on here again. :)

It could be 3 things: air in the lines, no fluid, or the piston in the brake master cylinder isn't sealing. Plus on your C, I think they have combined braking which means the rear brake also activates one piston on each side of the front calipers, so I'm really not sure how you even check if that part is working right.

I had someone bleed the rear brake and I have petal now. Not know why the bike in parked in air/heated shop on concrete, never have had a leak...

Great, glad that fixed it. I don't know how they get air in them when they aren't being used, but I have an old HD Sportster that sometimes gets started every 3 or 4 years, and I almost always have to bleed the front brakes on it. It usually has some brakes, just not a full lever.
I had the same thing happen on my first ride on my newly purchased 1800F. I changed all brake fluid and the brakes worked fine until I sold the bike several years later.
Pedal, petals are on flowers........
