Can anyone advise me to as how the body is removed each piece. I started removing the tail earlier and had trouble, I just don't want to break anything. I would really appreciate it as would others I am sure.

Lamont, Maybe we could add a a How To forum in the main page of the site. This would aid alot of people with simple how to in the future i.e spark plug changes.....Thx

Call your dealer and order the shop manual. It is all explained in there. Well worth the investment.

To remove the tail you have to start by removing the seats. Remove the side pods (just below the front seat) by removing the allen screw on the lower part (unpainted part) then push the center of the push pins located on both sides of the battery and remove the pins. you can now remove the side pods. Next there are 2 bolts located at the front of the tail piece (they were covered by the side pods). Remove those 2 bolts. There are 2 more bolts under where the rear seat was. Remove those 2 bolts. Next there are 2 phillips head screws under the rear fender that go up into the plastic tail piece. Remove those 2 screws. The tail piece should now come off.

BTW I just got to thinking, there might be 4 bolts at the front of the tail piece (under where the rear seat was) If so you need to remove all 4.

I just kept removing bolts till the damn thing almost fell off :D

That would go on the tech board, as this thread should be on the tech board. ;) I'll move it in a min.

There are two screws under the fender that has to be removed after you get all the obvious ones.
