I got an offer to trade my M90 on a left over M109 today. Interesting to find another thread here. What would be the lowest price for a M109 left over out there? I like my M90 and now about to swap the rear wheel for a M109 (just bought yesterday from another member) came to the dealer to schedule the swap and the manager made me the offer. I told him that the numbers got be really good or there will be no deal! They can't get M90s and they're stuck with a bunch of M109 on the floor. Maybe it could be a good oportunity.
I welcome all thoughts before making my decision.
Thanks! H

the place i went to had some 08's leftover that were in the 9000's to start and 09s just over 10K to start. and then you can negotiate from there. no setup fees or freight ,etc..
Lucky you to find 08s! The 09s here are more like 11K with taxes. They just offered me $6500 for my 09 M90 with 2700 miles.

The big question is why do you want to trade? If your happy with the power you have then I don't see a big reason to switch. They look too alike to make sense. But if you like the extra power it sure is contagious.

They do look alike I agree, however the M109's riding position is more confortable for me. With all modifications that I would do I'm concern that it could be a good time to trade now before you put all the money...
I was actually caught by surprise from the manager. I only regret that I was not aware of this forum before I purchased my M90. You guys show a awesome support and help to members.
They do not let you test ride bikes here in Florida so I could only ride on a friends's M109 later. The power is not the only thing I'm missing. It takes some time for you to find out if the bike fits you good. Mods are very expensive.
Thank you for your response!

and you only live once :)

there is nothing wrong with my m90, but i've always liked the look and fit of the 9 a bit better. i figure i can adjust to riding style since ive been riding for a long time. and for me, it was a private sale so i took a minimal hit on my M90.

with the current 1.99 financing, and low prices on leftovers, it wasn't hard for me to just go for it.

we have a nice mix of bikes on the block now. 1 C90t, 1M90, 1M109rLE, 1 V-Star Custom

Things have changed so fast in the last few years. Now we look at a 90 cubic inch bike and call them the little brother. A very few years back that was considered the top of the food chain. I forgot the 90 is on a smaller frame and that the 9 is a bit more of a reach. I got the 1.99 on my new 08 LE and it went for 10,000 otd. Not counting the extras I threw at it. I have 500 miles on it now and love my decision. Hope you enjoy your ride.

I had purchased a left over '08 in Nov of 2009 and paid $9,999 plus tax,freight,etc...I got the 1.9% financing as well for 6 years. Traded in a Honda VTX1300c...and the difference in my payment was only 5 bucks a month. I had to change insurance companies because my insurance nearly doubled for the bigger bike. I ended up getting full coverage for $250 a year through an insurance broker...something to keep in mind.

What kind of extras could you throw at it? I could use some ideas to justify the trade to the wife.:hot: They are selling a 09 for 11K OTD. I shouldn't stopped at the dealer today!!!!! My head is spinning like crazy now...?????????:drool::drool:

There is no more 08s here in my area. Only 09s that they want to move.
11K OTD.
