The journey towards my final product continues! Here is a "Sample" of a stripe I did for my bike, I was testing colors and materials.. in this case I got the yellow wrong, but I managed to find a matching shade that will complete the look. At this point my choice is to either get the black done in just gloss black, or to use a more interesting material that looks like metallic black with lots of flake. :hot:

I think the black stripe looks way better than the white stripe. How about the blackstripe material that used to be used on old muscle cars the would be a reflective white at night when lights hit it. They came on my 70 GTX.
Looks good!

:agree: the black looks much better. The reflective type would be a judgment call by you, some like it, some don't.

I like the black. I'm amazed you are going with something more simple compared to the more radical designs you've posted in the past, which I also liked.
The problem I face is that there is no company in my city capable of handling the designs I give them to do. Just to get this simple design done I had to call and meet dozens of vinyl companies. Last week I contacted a respected place and they were willing to work with me up until the moment they heard the graphics were for a motorcycle! Then they ignored me

So I will be doing my simple black and yellow hornet theme. Its taken months to just find someone who was willing to do this stripe for me!

If you don't mind having your design mailed to you then these guys will work with you to make you happy. My design wasn't to hard but looking at the quality of the vinyl they had in their shop I wouldn't hesitate to give them a challenging design. Multi colors or whatever. Hit em up they will take care of you. http://www.signsnowspringfield.com/

The whole point of going this way is so I don't have to ruin the original paint work. When I'm bored with this design I can peel it off and do another. Also this will be a whopping 30 bucks in materials, so no thanks for paint! It will look just as good when finalized.

You got it Rico. Tape is way cool. I have a buddy who owns a Vynil shop and he makes the guys stuff all the time. I have changed my ideas so many times and it is just a hair dryer away from a whole new design. I can send it to him in an e-mail and he has it ready in a few days. Gotta love technology.

Did you apply the vinyl to the cowl or did a shop? I'm trying to do something similar to my bike, but I'm struggling with the curves the cowl has.
I did too, but the company that cut my vinyl felt sorry for me since I screwed up the rear cowl that they said that I could bring it in and they would install it for free.

I had the company install it for me, you really do need to know what you are doing to get a *real* professional job done...

If you can wait, I will be getting final measurements with proper curves (The lines are tapered and bend around corners) which requires some pretty interesting shapes in order to go around the curves properly... Then I can start making custom designed stripes for anyone here :doorag:
