    Default I Scraped Pegs!!!

OK - so it's no thrill for those who've had their 9 for awhile ... but I was kind of thrilled to scrape pegs for the first time on my 9 at a turn light this morning. Makes me feel like I'm getting more comfortable in the corners.

On a side note ... I was riding last weekend and scraped my radiator shroud too . Friggin' Sherwood Park uses these 'one slope fits all' curbs, so all driveway approaches have about a 45 degree angle to get from the roadway up to the sidewalk & driveway. Coming off the curb with my daughter as a passenger, I thought I heard an ugly noise ... went to change my oil a couple days later ... sure enough, that chromed plastic on the lower shroud has about a one-inch square scrape down it. #%@$*&$%

Funny how two scrapes bring out the best and worst in a guy ...

Congrats!! I scraped my pegs on the first ride, scared the out of me. Mind you I came off a sportbike so I wasn't expecting it so early.

Even on my sport bike, I was more likely to scrape my knee or my boot before I hit the pegs.

I knew by how deep I was taking the turn that I'd be getting close ... so wasn't quite the gonch-cleaning moment it could have been. Glad to know where the limits are

But now I get new ones so now I am happy!!!

Just happened to me yesterday for the first time - only not really the pegs - just the heel of my boot. I wasnt really expecting it so it was a bit of a shock!

those of you regularly scraping your pegs should check your left peg support where its bolts to the frame. i know when i had my nine i actually ground the heads off the bolts the hold the bracket on. had to get a new set and start to behave on it

lol Wait til you lower your bikes if any of you decide too.i lowered mine an inch and a half and i scrape anytime I corner fast. Now my pipes scrape when I corner to the right hard. The good thing about it is it makes you slow down in the corners.
