Hey Chicky....My hubby and I both ride but Chris wont buy a new 9...he rides a V-star. I have tried to sell him but he doesnt like the way my bike sits.... oh well maybe someday. I think it would be super cool for us to both have the same type of bike, and I dont like the V-stars.

    G'day Sly,

Sorry to hear about your brother.
I also bought mine in '78.I got the red? colour and my friend got the black one.I now have them both and hope to make one restoral out of the two.Seeing yours in such good condition brings back some great memories.

Did they originally have the big "cigar" pipes in the US.I notice that you have an aftermarket pipe on yours.

    cheers

    JB

My wife never even sit on bike before I bought it. This was her first season and she loved it. Next summer I'm going to have a huge expense, even small cruiser cost money :-)

Thanks for the link. Can't wait to see the calander. Must be coming out in the next week! Awesome idea. Next year I should have a pretty good collection of photos to submit. Hey firefighter, someone told me the ride to the Winery is good. Got any other suggestions for good rides here? The Ferry will be our vaction vehicle to other islands on our 9's.

The winery is a great ride lots of twistys.

Haleakala is a good run in the early am. watch out for all the bicycles. they have a "bike down the volcano" thing.

Hana hwy would be good with out all the cars and people.

We did the outer raod around the island in a car, it would be okay for a bike. From Lahaina just stay on it past Kapalua, it gets tite and twisty. We did from Lahaina to Kahului.
