help with corroded or stained aluminum

hello everyone, I'm quite new here, and for a little back story i just recently got a used 109 and its condition seems pretty good although the owner did fall with it once and it has some dings here and there, but nothing severe.

Now on to the main issue, the forks on the bike have some pretty noticeable corrosion or stains showing up, and i have no idea how to get rid of it. is there any easy solution to this ?

Those pieces are clear coated, so if it's not something that will clean off with a little Windex, it means stripping and polishing them. And it would be a lot easier to do that if you disassemble them so you can use a buffer on them.

yeah, id like to try and avoid that trouble, but i guess that's the way it has to be done.
now on to find a post explaining the steps to take the things off
