    Default Jardine backrest

Alright M109 fam, I need some help. I picked up a Jardine quick release backrest for cheap. It didn’t have the bolts and spacers that mount it. Anyone know where I can source the mounting hardware or an alternative that can be used? Any help is appreciated.

Any product that is quick release would use the same hardware. Try Kuryakyn, they sell Edge quick release brackets for the bags.

There was another topic “saddlebag quick detach mounts” where I posted pictures of the hardware.

The part the backrest goes on is plastic with a groove similar to the one for the edge brackets in the photos.

Just one more question. I looked at your pics in that thread. Can you just mount the piece for the backrest or do you have to mount the whole long piece that holds the bags as well? I won’t be using bags so don’t want super long stuff hanging out that won’t actually be used.

No, that longer bolt and metal spacer was for the addition of the bags.

Also because the bags had to clear the grab handles on the backrest brackets

Incase you have a hard time finding the hardware, supertrapp is the company that bought out Jardine. I have the backrest aswell. Below is the link to their site. You could probably contact them and get the hardware. Not sure how much they would charge thou.
