For the last 13 years I have had to travel extensively for work. My house was hit by lightening 5-years ago. The low mileage (3,100 miles) 109 went to storage, came back a year later, then I missed another riding season, due to surgery. Three-years commuting between Chicago and New York, one day a week at home not conducive to riding. Then the pandemic hit and work from home - I guess a bright side to everything. The big bike had been in slumber for over five years. I got new plates, ordered a new battery, filled it per instructions. Waited 20 mins and the mighty 109R fired right up on the first try (stable in the gas tank). As I pulled out of the neighborhood, children put their hand to their mouths, pointed 'oh my gosh look at that - its so cool.' Passed a bar, people sitting outside turned and looked, 'take a look, what is that?' It's raining today but I plan to be out again this weekend.
