Default Things to do while off for the beer virus.

Well, since I've been off going on two weeks, getting things done. Rebuilt the snout on my Ford Lightning. Installed a front spoiler and rear window louvers on my Mustang. Oh, the shock of getting two giant cardboard boxes in from UPS, and neither the driver or I wore gloves. BWAHAHA!

Well, it's a nice day and we are not under lockdown here. So I'm going to go outside and enjoy the nice day. Not nice enough for a bike ride, but nice enough for a drive in my Lightning or Mustang. Why waste a day like this cowering in your home?

Finished up another project yesterday. I had six light assemblies for my Lightning hogging up my dining room table. New tail lights with no red reflectors in them and a super bright , almost blinding led in each. Had to wire a load equalizer in each corner for them to blink. Replaced the front corner marker lights with new assemblies with no reflectors in them, and a super bright led as well. They are bright white in running light mode, and amber for the blinkers and flashers. Load equalizer required there as well. Could have used a flasher, but was unable to find it. Could hear it clicking, but have no earthly idea where it is. Lastly, replaced the two lower driving lights with super bright high power HID assemblies. Had to mount a larger ballast to get them to work.

And the supercharger I put on in July 2018 wasn't making the amount of boost it should make. So I removed the snout assembly, figured out why, fixed it, reinstalled it, waited 24 hours for the silicone to cure, refilled it with oil yesterday, started it and went out for about a 100 mile drive. Running great again.

And the repaired blower. Going to go pick up some beer virus today, Corona and some limes, and hang out in my garage throwing darts and smoking a fat one (cigar).

In addition to my vehicles, I also helped my friend James do a front suspension rebuild on his black Lightning. And btw, when two people are working on front suspensions, "social distancing" rules go out the window. We were laughing about that one. LOL!!

Old picture, but you get the idea.

Returned to work yesterday, after two weeks off paid. I was bored to tears, after finishing all the mods and things I wanted to get done.

Here in Oklahoma, we have 4 million people. About 1400 have the beer virus, around 400 hospitalized, 51 dead as of yesterday. The numbers are so small, it's not worth losing one second of sleep over it.

Yesterday ended up being a really gorgeous day. Got my B-King out and put about 100 miles on it. Then rode ti to work.

Today I got out the Nine and rode about 50 miles. Then rode it to work.

Life seems normal to me, minus the poor businesses that are closed. Noticed the last few days, quite a few empty used car lots. Guess they won't be coming back when this is all over.

Went to my favorite restaurant last night. Even though they aren't "open", they let me stay and eat there, and fixed me a margarita. They kind of have a "Speak Easy" room. LOL!

Things are looking good here in Oklahoma. Starting to flatten the curve. Already talking about restaurants and bars open, but limited to 50% capacity. I'm ready!

Been kind of a dreary week weatherwise. But will be in the mid 60's today, so going to do the Eenie Meenie Miney Mo thing and decide which bike to ride. Things are still not out of control beer virus wise. Still haven't hit 4000 cases, which would be 1/10th of one percent case wise. Still haven't hit 500 hospitalized. Still no stay at home order. Talks abound about re-opening soon. Masks are only recommended, not mandatory. Been back at work two weeks now, everything the same as it was.

Spent the entire day yesterday out riding the Nine. What a gorgeous day it was. Bikes everywhere. So nice living in a state where sanity rules.

Ate din-din last night at my favorite restaurant, in the "speak easy" room. Doing so again tonight. I wasn't the only one there either. And yes, social distancing was being done. Even the owner and his wife were there at a table eating and celebrating his birthday.

All kinds of talk here about getting things opened back up again. 306 hospitalized as of yesterday. Never made 500. Never a mandatory stay at home order. Never a mandatory non essential business shut down order. Only "should be closed". And most never did. Most of us never stayed home. I didn't. Thus things aren't too bad here. The schools are the worst hit. And the "higher education liberal agenda institutions" are really feeling it. If I were graduating this year, no way I'd even think about signing up for a college, that may not even be open next semester. No way Jose!

Starting tomorrow, restaurants, barber shops, salons, and bars are allowed to reopen once again. Following certain CDC stipulations, such as keeping distances between others. But, it's better than nothing. In two weeks, if the numbers keep getting smaller, things will be eased even further.

Finally got all the mods to the Mustang done that I intended to get done while things were slow. Got the Cervinni's upper and lower rear scoops Friday, got them on Saturday.

Pretty much everything has opened up here as of Friday. Ate din-din at my favorite restaurant Saturday and Sunday night. Packed both nights, everyone looked well and happy.

There was also a huge cruise on Air Depot Boulevard in Midwest City Sunday. Started around 1400, lasted all night. I have never seen so many hot rods, motorcycles and just plain nice cars all in one place before. It was awesome. Supposedly, the local police are down with this being a regular Sunday event. It was all over fakebook. I don't do it, but I heard about it. We'll see what happens next Sunday.

Got this in today and got it installed. APR Performance carbon fiber diffuser for 2005 - 2009 Mustangs. Dirt behind the tire from some business that cleaned their parking lot, but the street was a mess. GRRR!!!

Oh yeah, LED sequential tail lights from Spec D. Also the third brake light.
