It's nice to see the veterans still here .
I joined this forum in 2012 and still have my 2007 '9 with 56K miles on it, so given my join date I'm not as veteran as you - I remember a couple of months after I got my '9, I purchased a TRE unit and Zoom helped me with the installation.
I also have had 3 minor crashes with the '9, I did not get any serious injury and the bike escaped with minor damage too.
A couple of weeks ago I unfortunately crashed seriously with my Kawasaki Versys 1000, but in a very odd way - I got the left big toe fractured and the bones of my left hand misaligned, so I was operated a few hours after the crash and now I'm at home with the toe and hand immobilized .
On 31-DEC I have to go to the hospital to check my injuries again and hope that I can start to do some physiotherapy, next regain strength and back on the saddle.
Because of the crashes I've started also to consider the Can-AM Spyder F3-S as a alternative to motorcycles, since they have two wheels on the front. Actually 3 out of my 4 crashes were due to dirt road surface and I lost the front wheel.
One of the first member here was Lamonster and knew that he apparently stopped with the '9 and started to ride the Spyder - actually I see him very active on the Spyder forum.
Honestly I'd prefer to stick to motorcycles, but safety is now something more than a simple worry for me ... perhaps a Spyder is waiting for me around the corner? .
Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea for the Devil sends the beast with wrath because he knows the time is short Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a human number its number is M109R.
Tinman still here since 2010 or so still have black 2009 . Which we all know that's the fastest color. Hope to ride with the brothers over the border. If they ever get close to the falls... everyone ride safe.

Its good to see you guys hanging in there. I recently started back doing searches on here due to me putting mine back together since I have been down for almost 2 years, and only because I wanted to do some powder coating.
Good to see the old names.
Excuuuse me while I whip this out.
I actually found this Forum in November 2008, just before I purchased my first M109R (my 07’ model). I was hesitant to join at that time, so I just dropped in from time to time to view the posts, mod options, and pics. After realizing how valuable this Forum could be, I finally became a member in November 2009.
Still kicking, still have my black '07 and still love it. Owned a lot of bikes but never kept one longer than this one. Don't check on line much anymore. I remember this site as much busier back in the day. Nice to see some familiar names though
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Still here reading and still got the 9.
Wow. I passed the 10 year mark last summer. I guess I'm officially old. I still ride my 9, but not as much as before my wreck. Most of the local to me 9-ers have moved on too.

I'm still here. I check in now and then. Surprised to see some of the founding members still checking in. Hopefully the forum will revive if Suzuki ever produces a gen 2.
Who would have thought a thread regarding old times would be one of the most active post on here in a long time
Merry Christmas from an old timer keeping his 9 warm in the living room for the winter.
