    Default Air cleaner options?

Thoughts on the $100-$125 kits I see on Amazon?

my R2 has a broken salad bowl, so I'm just gonna go after market.

Is there a name brand filter kit that won't break the bank?

I think the cobra was like $1000!!??

Are you referring to the spikes? If so then they have been in my bike for a number of years now without issue other than K&N doesn't make the filter for them anymore.

I prefer the larger round open element, old school style filters. Hence the LA Choppers Big Air xXx from Mean Cycles. I think the spikes have too little surface area, not much more than the stock filters.

If cost is your main obstacle........

Get a $125 set of spikes off Amazon or Ebay.

Then throw away the spike end and put $90 worth of filters on in place of the spike ends.

$215 and you are good to go.

It's nothing special but its gets the job done and does not break the bank doing it.

DIY low-jack or not, that's actually a pretty sweet look - and very functional to boot!
