    Default ECU flash

A big shout out to BCS Performance and Contols for the ECU flash. Although my 07 is stock, except for the K&N air filters, that flash really woke her up. The technical and customer support was great. If you want to wake up your beast, have them flash your ECU.

That's what I'm waiting for. I'll bring the bike down for a true dyno tune.

Please post back when you have the results. I'm curious. What have you noticed specifically since you re-mapped it?

The hesitation or jerk at low speeds in 1st 2nd and 3rd are gone. The throttle feels a lot more responsive and smoother. And one benefit I noticed, and not sure if it has to do with the tune is my gas mileage. I've never ridden this bike easy, nor do I abuse her, but I could never seem to get more than 130 miles out of a tank around town, but the last time I filled up I went 142 miles and it took the same amount, 4.1 gallons. I will keep checking my mileage and report. Sometimes it's hard to explain the difference, but in my opinion, it was worth the money to have it done.

It has to do with your mods as much as anything else. He will need to know what exhaust you have, what intake you have, anything else engine wise. So therefore, it's kinod of hard for him to have a stash of a ton of different ECU's with all the different varieties of intakes and exhausts out there. Impossible I'd say.

I just had one done-he'll flash your ecu if you send it to him, or send you one and you return yours (for a slightly higher charge). Much like the OP, mine is stock, I'm equally impressed with the improvements. Much smoother and more rideable at low RPMs. Mine felt "unhappy"-almost like it was being lugged below ~3000 rpm-now that's gone, pulls smoothly from about 1500.

Hi Guys, i'm bought my first M109R in December 2018.
I read messages wrt the ECU flasing.
I live in sunny South Africa and would like to have my bike's ECU flashed.
Could somebody advice me on the costs involved and a turn around time.

    Regards.

Congratulations on becoming an M109R owner, and welcome to the Forum. As for the costs and turn around time for the ECU FLASH, its definitely going to take a bit longer for you, and the cost of shipping is going to be more expensive, due to the fact you’re in South Africa. As for the cost of the ECU FLASH, you’ll need to PM Bering_C_Sparky for that information.

Plus keep in mind that BCS has a job on a ship that keeps him away from home for extended periods. Hence the Bering Sea part of his handle. Patience is a must here.

I did not know that, ya' learn something new every day!

I am available most of the time. And you can get your ECU tuned 365 days a year.....even when I am at sea, so no worries there.

Been busier than a one armed pepper hanger the past couple of weeks though.

Remodeling my house while it's raining.....which has been most of the time.

But I did manage to finally get the dyno set up at a commercial location today and put in a few hours on it.

Not supposed to rain tomorrow either so I will be back at it in the morning.

If anyone needs any information just PM me and I will get back to you as quick as possible.

How do you get ahold of the ECU while you're in the Bering Sea? Got a transporter beam there Cap'n?

I responded to your PM and gave you the address there.

Let me know your other info and we will start putting your ECU bin file together.

    Thanks
