Hello everyone. This is my first post. I picked up my 2011 M109R in 2018. I was riding a 1980 Suzuki GS850 and was looking for something different. I had been looking at many makes and models of VTwins over the past 3-4 years when the M109R caught my eye, as it is different from the rest. Last spring I found this one for a good price, and drove 4 hours to get it.

I left it mostly stock until this spring, as I needed to sell the GS850 before I started modding a different bike. Ever since that sold, money seems to be falling out of my wallet, I’ll have to check to see if there’s a hole in it.

Throughout the duration of owning the GS850, I was on a forum of other GS owners, so I was stoked to find an M109R forum. I’ve come across many helpful suggestions on parts and instructions on mods and installations, some of which I’ve done recently, and some lined up to do.

Current mods: fender eliminator w/LED tail lights/blinkers, chrome derby cover, Cyclops LED headlight, spiked air intakes, Cobra swept exhaust, Pair Valve mod and ECU flash (thanks BCS).
Up next: +2 inch chrome riser bar, braided stainless throttle and clutch cables and brake lines, Kuryakyn hand grips.
    Future: Urethane motor mounts

    Till next time,
    Nick
