Hey 109 peeps, so I finally was able to pick up a 9 from a friends who had one just sitting in her garage for 6 years after her husband passed away from cancer. She asked me 5 years ago if I could get a motorcycle she had stored in her garage started. After getting it running she asked if I would be interested in buying it. At the time I couldn't take it due to life obstacles, new job, single dad and no place to park it. Well, fast forward 5 years I was able to take that 109 home. Discovered that it wouldn't start due clogged injectors, old fuel bad and dead battery. After getting it home, I started tearing her down. About 5 hours of wrenching, 12pk of beer and some detailing, the 9 is back on the roads of sunny San Diego

    Congratulations!

You sent me a PM, but I can not reply as you have blocked people PMing you. If you can change that setting or PM me an email address, I will get back with you. Hope that you get this. I was just in San Diego for 6 weeks. Sorry I missed you.
you should change out all of the fluids because it has been sitting that long.

Thanks! Its been amazing. Slowly looking through all the 1st gen issues with the bike and slowly correcting them. Any particular mods or must do upgrades I should do? I've been looking at the clutch pin mod but haven't had any issues with shuddering, then again it might have been addressed by the previous owner. So far I've only added bold on air intakes. Looking to de baffle the pipes and and Ivans ECU flash.
