Is this the website you tried: https://vrayscustomplatemounts.com/

I'm looking at it right now.

In my endless reading of this forum, it was mentioned that Suzuki came out with a generation 2 or version 2 (or whatever you want to call it) of the clutch cable somewhere around 2008 due to the breaking issue.
Not sure how to differential it from the gen/version 1...but I think you would be good with a Suzuki cable.
It was also recommended to route the cable on the outside of the front engine mount...whereas the factory routing takes it straight through the mount...literally.

I use this online parts catalog to look up part numbers and then go hunting from there...or order them from the same place (depending on their price...which is listed in the catalog too): http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....800N-K8-M109R2
(just change the year to your bike when you get to the website)

Get a hydraulic clutch and you won't have to worry about it

Eventually I think I will but for now I rather use that $700 for cosmetic changes 😁😎

The trick is to get just the slave cylinder kit and find a C90 master setup on Ebay. I did that and saved 100s. Got the master setup complete with lever for $65

Im sure it was the original, they were weak..by the looks of it,2nd owner didn’t have enough play at the lever..motor mounts are probably worn also..those two together along with the torque of the motor will pull the cable out of the barrel quick..they don’t sell the original cable anymore..

Remember there's the factory routing through the front engine mount, and then the recommended on here to go outside the engine mount and along the frame.

    The choice is yours.
