\r\n A 2007, added Tsukayu bags, love um. Gman shifter bushing, fuel command module, exhaust modded, K&N air filters, rear blinker delete, etc....

\nI\'m trying to find a decent front fairing. The Tsukayu one is decent, the problem I see is, these bikes have an unfortunate headlight placement. It looks good if left stock, but if you want to ad a fairing for wind deflection I think most options I\'ve looked at look goofy as hell. The batwings have such an extended nose, so to speak, to reach down to the headlight. Tsukayus front fairing is ok looking, but massive for the same reason, trying to reach all the way to the headlight. Does anyone know of a fairing that looks bad ass on our bikes? I\'m thinking my only option is custom built, or move the headlight and go with some other fairing.\r\n

\r\n A lot of us use the Vstream windshield. Not a fairing but takes the wind off your chest.

I\'ll second that choice. I was looking at the Corbin before I even bought my bike. Big money but looks the best.

\r\n Welcome to the Forum Coyote11p. I’m not a fan of any fairings, or saddlebags installed on the M109R, but I respect everyone’s decision to do so.\r\n

\r\n I understand the no bagger look, the bike is very nice looking, but I bought the Tsukayu large bags, and you could fit a body in there, I can carry so much gear, and in Colorado the weather yo yos a lot. I know if I ad a fairing it will be something I can remove like the quick release saddle bags I have, super fast, super simple. I wear a helmet almost 100% of the time, and the old neck can get a bit still with wind buffeting after a couple of hours.
    \n
\nThe Tsukayu front fairing is just kind of big, and not as aggressive lines as I\'d like. That being said, the front headlight pod is angled down too much for my tastes, looks like an old prize fighter with a mashed nose. You start at the rear and get these beautiful lines, swooping and dipping and swooping again, and (to me, just an opinion) they just whacked a headlight pod on there.
    \n
\nI will throw out this thought, or concession, when the front is raked just a bit 6-9 degrees and the stock pod straightens out some, I think the lines continue to flow much nicer.
    \n
\nexamples of more aggressive fairings, and then what I think is a better look for the stock pod.\r\n

Well Coyote11p, what’s good and true about ownership is each person has the latitude to do whatever he/she desires to do with their own property. It sounds like you’re pretty convinced which the direction you want to go in with your 9. I hope the results of your changes/mods meet your expectations.
    \n
\nI totally understand and respect your perspective and disdain on the stock looks of the headlight nacelle on the 9, but I couldn’t respectfully disagree more. I think Suzuki got the M109R 100% right from a design, esthetics, and appearance perspective...to include the headlight nacelle, which is a signature piece/aspect of the bike. It is angled perfectly, and you can adjust the aim/direction of the light, if necessary. I have two 9s with aftermarket headlights, and I regret not keeping the stock headlight nacelle on at least one of them. The 9 was designed as a bulky, stout, robust, wide Muscle Cruiser”...not a bagger, or a big wheel raked out chopper bike. The 9 just doesn’t have the lines or the build necessary to become something other than what it is, and still look just as appealing as the original design. Its called “The Beast” not only because of its power, but for its looks as well. Trying to change the overall look of the 9 would be no different than trying to convert a Harley Street Glide/Road Glide/Soft Tail into a muscle cruiser. Those bikes would certainly look goofy if someone tried to convert them into muscle cruisers. Instead, Harley reinvented the V-Rod to compete with the M109R in the muscle cruiser category...and they failed, in my opinion. Personally, if I ever wanted a bagger or a chopper, I would purchase one of those, rather than trying to convert the big, bulky, robust M109R muscle cruiser into one.
    \n
\nDon’t take my assertions, comments, or perspectives as a personal attack on you and your outlook. It’s just the way I view the M109R, and appreciate its beauty. IMHO...the M109R is by far the best looking bike on the market!!!\r\n

Default New to the forum, dropping in to say hello, and ask a question or two

A 2007, added Tsukayu bags, love um. Gman shifter bushing, fuel command module, exhaust modded, K&N air filters, rear blinker delete, etc....

I'm trying to find a decent front fairing. The Tsukayu one is decent, the problem I see is, these bikes have an unfortunate headlight placement. It looks good if left stock, but if you want to ad a fairing for wind deflection I think most options I've looked at look goofy as hell. The batwings have such an extended nose, so to speak, to reach down to the headlight. Tsukayus front fairing is ok looking, but massive for the same reason, trying to reach all the way to the headlight. Does anyone know of a fairing that looks bad ass on our bikes? I'm thinking my only option is custom built, or move the headlight and go with some other fairing.
