Yea, they are pretty tight initially. I still have to press down on the back of the seat in order to turn the key to unlock it. My girlfriend has a 2014 matte grey yamaha Stryker, she ended up getting the black bomber jacket color as well. When we put the two seats next to each other, hers clearly has darker shades, almost makes mine look like the grey bombers jacket color. After seeing them side by side, I wish mine had the darker shades, but still happy overall.
Yeah, my Corbin was also stiff as hell. It took some serious pressure to lock it down. Glad to see that is normal. I did get the Black Bomber Jacket for the seat. It turned out pretty good with the blue/black.
I have a Corbin seat too, I had it recovered and it has been great. I agree that it does take a good amount of pressure to lock down.

Corbin's factory is right up the road in Hollister. They do a great job and I've used them on many of my bikes. I've also had good luck with LePera Seats (I used one on my 2008 Wide Glide)...You can't go wrong with Corbin...PEACESAFE
I had a stock seat, a gel seat and an ultimate seat (sorry, I never tried a corbin). I loved the ultimate seat.

I just ordered a Corbin to match the riders one I bought last year for my wife from Bering C Sparky. I'm looking forward some comfort!
I ran a Corbin pillion (passenger seat) on my Hayabusa and the SO absolutely HATED it, made me put the stock seat back on. Oh well, saved me a bunch of money on a seat for her. I also had the Corbin in front and it was OK, but I never considered it great. Running an Ultimate on my 109 and no complaints but I also never bothered with Corbin after my Hayabusa so hopefully they have a better design for the 109 than they did for the Hayabusa.
I purchased a Corbin seat for my 109, I love it. I then purchased a Cobin seat for my FZ-10, I hate it. I was expecting a more plush feel like the 109 seat, but the FZ-10 seat is very hard. Their customer service is pretty terrible, but I do like the seat they make for the 109.
