    Default NJDEVIL'S 3RD 9

Just posting pic's and updates here. Not doing how too's as there are plenty enough on here covering everything. I started tearing the bike down and sent all the bodywork off for paint. I don't like plastic so I sourced metal replacement parts and sent those out to Josh doawheelie Reyes for powdercoating.

Got my tank back from paint and should be getting the rest back this week.

Installed the rear turn signals and cleaned up the ****ty wiring job back there. soldered and shrink wrapped all the connections.

While I had time on my hands I have been cleaning everything

Josh sent me some pic's this morning so powdercoating just about done. As soon as I get this stuff back I can get them on and then install the pipes.
After that it's on to tearing the front end down for powdercoat.

Picked this project up from Bryan a good while back. I picked up a new lock and keys from corbin and had it painted while my other stuff was being done. Just have to line the inside, install a rubber seal and install the lock and hinges. Def way cheaper than buying from corbin. I think it came out great and I will be able to change the look up between trunk, seat and cowl as needed. Thanks again Bryan

No, that's a Corbin Smuggler. It would be against the law for someone else to make and sell them.

No it is a corbin smuggler that was in project condition. If you saw the before pics, it was rough. Needed a whole lot of sanding, and the lock that was in it had no keys.

She is going to look great, really digging that color combo. I liked what you did with Christine, cant wait to see what you come up with for this one.

Keith, I think this 9 is going to be your baddest 9 by far. It is looking very sharp, as it comes together bit by bit. I love that rich/deep black and vibrant/bright red combination!!!😁👍✋️🏆🏆🏆✋️👍😁

Cutting the wire mesh was a bit of a PITA but got it cut and installed in the grill and derby cover.

You should spray the mesh red, would look awesome behind the black

I thought about that but decided the chrome would give more reflective surface to the red led's that are going to go behind them.

I agree with you Keith, the LEDs will definitely dance off of the chrome rather than the red. Plus that chrome mesh against that black is consistent with you contrast cut wheels and Air Intakes.

Yeah that was part of it too. Going red there could definitely lead to having to go red in more places. I prefer the consistent look as well.
