Not only that. In the OP, he had the kiddie reflector on his bike. In the last pic, no reflector. Good for you OP!

    What lake is that?
That’s Lake Erie, they have the roads marked out as the “waterfront trail” which keeps you close to the water and has some decent sections along the way

Took them off mine the day I rode it home from the dealers, in July 2006. Put the rear turn signals on the rear reflector brackets in August 2006.

Both my seals started leaking Feb 2014. I used the sealmate tool and the leaking stopped. I’ve been having a small leak every year since. Two weeks ago it started back and I’m replacing the seals and upgrading to Sonic springs 1.1kg.

You need to get this baby back together. Missed out on some good riding this past weekend. Next weekend looks good also.

If you can get the dealer to do it under warranty that would be the way to go.

I have all the parts to change my seals as well as add heavier fork springs sitting on my bench waiting of me to put on my bike also.

I will be doing mine after Leesburg Bike Fest is over.

Here is a video to give you an idea of what is needed to change the fork seals.

All you need is a suitable tap and some aluminium tube to make your own.

I just had the dealer replace the seals and put in stiffer springs a month ago. They charged me $270 total labor but that included swapping out the front rotors too while they had the tire off. I think it would have only been $125 had I just taken the shocks off myself.

My bike got 95,000 miles out of the OEM seals and even then only one side was leaking so hopefully these last the rest of the life of the bike.
