Well, after what has been a very looooooooooong wait, I can finally confirm my baby is actually home! Wish I could be out riding her all day and night but... Alas it is not meant to be! I will however spend allot of time running out the back of the house to make sure she is still there and maybe even firing her up a few more times to hear the exhaust! Hope I can sleep tonight!

Even after all these years I still grin when I go into the garage and see my bike
the probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act

    Default Initial Impressions!

So... Having not ridden this bike before (or any other 9 for that matter), here is my initial impressions!

Its a little "twitchy"! Man, this throttle is sensitive! Spent some time trying to even out my accelerating and decelerating around town while playing in first, second and sometimes third gear. I am sure this will come with time as I get to know the bike but man.... Going over some potholes and washboard while holding the throttle, I felt like I was a bit all over the place with it!

She is pretty quick indeed! Still have some playing and learning to do as she is brand new to me... But I did push her around a bit and I am enjoying the power!

Very stable bike! Coming from a Honda Stateline, man this bike is easy to ride! Not sure if it is the wide tire, additional weight or just the overall seating set up but damn this thing handles and corners far better than my Honda. At faster or very slow speeds I am absolutely impressed with the balance and ease of manouvering!

Obviously still a ton of riding and learning to do before I get to know her fully... But damn I am so very impressed and happy!

Here's where a TRE comes in handy!

    Enjoy your new ride!

I had the XTRE installed before I picked her up and I still find it twitchy! And yup, I checked by shifting into first with the bike off, it is working! Must have been even more hella sensitive before!

Thats the only problem with not having ridden one before buying (which I am sure some would never do)... As I will never see how vast the improvement is... Same with the cobra exhaust and chip... But I usually make my mind up pretty quick and I am very happy with my purchase(s)!

Of course it is both a massive help and a major detriment to find a site as packed full of information, experience and knowledge as this one...

I am a number of mods in... I have only driven it the one time... And I already have another two mods lined up in my mind! What a world!

Awesome news. Congrats. Did you know, there will only ever be 1 of that model in NZ, Suzuki wont have any more here.

This is the only one in the country and there are no more coming

Just wait till you find yourself going to garage and pull up a chair with a beer by yourself and just stare at it
