Default What's new on the horizon?

The holiday season is quickly approaching here in the U.S. Many of the northern states have seen their first snow fall, so the bikes are getting winterized, covered, and tucked in for the long cold winter. This is when our creative juices start flowing and the mod bug begins to scratch, nibble, bite, and sometimes consume us.

So what plans do you have for the bike, are you going for a few shinny touches, or a complete metamorphosis.

I just have a few goals this winter, with my hydraulic clutch installed just in time for the last ride of the season my focus will be.

No chrome GALFER ROTOR though. The chrome don't hold up, it chips away around the rivets. Ask me how I know

Winter around the corner here too, so I've been piling up on parts and ideas..

    1. Shorten currently damaged VP to see how that looks and sounds
    2. Get a new VP and shorten that too, depending on step 1. Or just keep it stock length..
    3. Air ride (I'll be looking for some input on that soon)
    4. Hydro clutch / push pin mod / evo star
    5. Change out brake/throttle/clutch cables for stainless, probably go for chromed front calipers too

    and likely more..

They did in the begining, but the chrome wouldn't hold up around the rivets,so they gassed the chrome, all other finishes are great and hold up well...unfortunately,Chrome is all that works with the 07 LE..there is a blue, but the colour doesn't match up very well..

might have to paint the bike chameleon root beer, and go with black carriers...cheaper in the long run

Living in northern California has it's benefits, I ride year round. Nothing major to be done on either of my bikes, the '13 VMAX needs nothing. The '06 Stratoliner needs a couple things, Yamaha Star passenger floorboards are here finally, but I need adaptors to install them ($100) the parts guy told me several times that I wouldn't need anything else to install them. I found some nice highway pegs to mount on the engine guards, on Ebay. They should be here in a few days...
