I'm going to be traveling through KY next week. Are there any must see's and do's? Thanks for the advice, Ryan
Ryan, you may want to visit the birh place of Abraham Lincoln if you have the time. There's also the Kentucky Bourbon facility to visit. That is where the Makers Mark drink is produced...I think. It would be nice if you could stop by and visit the original home where Muhammad Ali grew up in Louisville, but it is located in a very dangerous part of town...lots of killings and robberies happen in that region of the city. However, not far from that boyhood house of his, are the Muhammad Ali Museum/Center and the Louisville Bat Museum, which are a MUST SEE!!! They are located within a couple of block of one another as well. If you decide to visit those locations, please do so during the morning and afternoon, because downtown Louisville is a dangerous place to be wandering about at night time. Too many people there seem to NOT value life much at all these days. They have been robbing and killing people at an alarming rate this entire year...so far. Louisville has an enormous amount of history, and the downtown area is a very unique and beautiful place to see. However, the crime is just absolutely ridiculous these days...especially during the night hours.
