    Question Any Ideas ?

I think our first trip full timing on the road will be spent in Kentucky. My wife wants to do the bourbon trail. Any campgrounds that you would recommend? Any must does while we are in your state?

Please email me as I'm not on the site anymore due to a couple of members. You can email me at [email protected]

    Many thanks in advance.

We did the Bourbon trail last year. You only get samples if you pay to go on the tour. We didn't go on all of the tours. I highly recommend the Four Roses Tour. Heavy pours and you keep the bourbon glass.

My my favorite distillery was Woodford Reserve, followed by Town Branch. Woodfords Double Oaked Bourbon is amazing. The Town Branch tour was awesome as well. They give you tickets that you use to get samples. The tour is of their distillery and also the brewery. The bourbon was bad, but their beer was really good. We also hit Buffalo Trace as , even though they weren't officially on the trail. Cool brewery in Lexington called West 6th, if you are staying the night and looking for something to do after the distilleries are closed.

If you plan on hitting them all and taking some tours, I would recommend at least two, probably three days, to not feel rushed. They are spread out fairly well. Make sure to grab a passport and get it stamped at each distillery. Then you can send it in for a free tshirt.
