I am looking at purchasing the Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro tuner for my 9. I have a 2010 M109R (I am in Canada). The part# I found online for the 2010 is Part#92-1845AT. I was looking at the Cobra website and it states "NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS FOR U.S. SPEC MOTORCYCLES ONLY.". Can I run this with my bike? Are Canadian versions of the 2010 M109R any different from a "spec" perspective than U.S? This may be a stupid question but don't want to drop $500 to find out the thing don't work on my model. I have ordered some new intakes so I need to figure this out asap. Thanks

It is the correct model #. I have it on my 2011 bike! Did you find a good deal on that PowrPro??

Has been discussed in the past. I believe the conclusion was that the Canadian 109's are like the US (non-California) 109's. I think in North America, on California 109 have O[SUB]2[/SUB] sensors...

I guess it's a difference between the C109 and the M109. I apologize for the confusion...

According to the VLR1800 service manual (C109):

  • Canada and USA (except California) : DO NOT have the O2 sensors
  • The rest of the world and California : have the O2 sensors

Hopefully this clarifies things a bit (at least for the C109)

page 1A-1 (page 70 in PDF document):
OXYGEN SENSOR SIGNAL (For E-02, 19, 24, 33) : Air/fuel ratio is compensated to the theoretical ratio from density of oxygen in exhaust gasses. The compensation occurs in such away that more fuel is supplied if detected air/fuel ratio is lean and less fuel is supplied if it is rich.

page 0A-5 (page 18 in PDF document) (bold = O2 sensors):
Country and Area Codes
The following codes stand for the applicable country(-ies) and area(-s).
Code Country or Area Effective Frame No.

Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro ordered

Do we happen to have a video of the install process of the Fi2000? I walked through all the pages in the How To section but could not find one. Little worried about doing this since I have never attempted to install one in the past. Any help, links would be greatly appreciated.

Follow the directions when you get it. Its easy. Tank had to come off. You do not have to remove the airbox. A long pair if needle nose pliers are helpful. Its basically plug and play. If you have a problem PM me. In preparation for the install run the gas down in the tank. I did mine with a full tank. I like to do things the hard way.
