    Default Sump Replacement

    Just finished doing my 20th oil change on my 2009 LE with a 120000ks on it
    and it looks like Ive stripped
    the Thread on the sump for the front plug
    Was wondering if any of you guys have
    replaced sump and got any tips

    What about a helicoil kit. I haven't done it before but it's a thread repair kit that someone on this forum has used before.

    I would try the helicoil first. I have used many over the years and they work great.

    Helicoil use plenty of grease it will keep the small bits of swarf on the tap and the drill
