well this is where the baton has been staying for the past week I showed the baton a map at the fairgrounds of where it is going here is an image it will see again when the phat boyz get it (only much larger) here is Iowas state capitol word got out that the baton has been breaking the speed limit (mach 1.2) which has resulted in a heavy fine, but that's ok, I don't have to pay it. This officer its sending the ticket to narendra close up of the background needs little commentary.

it has been cool but I'm glad to see it go to Rockford rider tomorrow, it is going to be fun to see how fast it can travel once it crosses the Mississippi.

First two pics are of a replica of Portas de Cidade, "Gates to the City". This monument is in Lisbon, Portugal. My area is heavily populated by the Portugues nationality. Go anywhere, you'll here the language spoken. It was measured out and rebuilt here and dedicated to the residents. Next...."Lizzie Borden took an axe". Yes, also in my back yard. back in the 1800's, this was quite the news, as a young lady was accused of murdering her parents. She was aquitted, although everyone knew she did it! This is the location, now a Bed and Breakfast and also thought to be haunted. Last pics are in memory of one of our famous native sons, Chef Emeril Lagasse. St Johns Club is where he learned to cook as a kid. Our families actually lived on the same street, and my brother went to school with him. The plate is a Chourico sub with fries, one of the more well known menu items...that and a large soda, less that $10.

Almost forgot this one...Battleship Cove. A collection of Naval Warships on the Taunton River under RT 195 as you travel to and from the Cape Cod area. Anchored by the USS Massachusetts, "Big Mamie", and also housing a destroyer, sub, and other ships. All for public viewing and tours.

Try a Portuguese steak dinner too. A decent cut of meat, not the top grade....they normally put an egg and a pepper on top, a thin gravy, some do rice and thin fried potatoe slices....let me know if you try it sometime.
