How exactly did you mod the baffles and did you wrap them w/ fiberglass cloth? If you want loud, take the baffles out and run it like that

No. It deepens the sound. Since the ends are cut out the baffle still flows freely. The wrap changes the resonance of the tone

Best thing I can tell you is take them out and try it. You'll lose some low end torque though. If you want nasty put some debaffled big shots on it. I was real happy with the sound of my swepts. Ill find out how I like the freedoms today.

Did y'all notice a drop in power after the mod? How does it affect back flow?

Has all the material burn off yet wrapped around the baffles? Guess the wire would rattle when it is all burnt off ?

My Swepts have arrived and I will be taking out the baffles before I install them to give them a bit of a rub on the sander so I can take them out easily if need be. I have all the gear needed for the mod but will wait and see what they sound like.

Last thing anyone wants is a blow by blow description with pics of me mechanically butchering anything. I'm sure there will be plenty of cursing as these things dont usually end up being as easy as others make it out to be. I hope I'm wrong though...........

Looks like my baffles are staying there .

All it's doing is tearing the baffle with every smash of the hammer .

I took mine off the bike and clamped them down on a table, I was afraid I was going to break the mounting bracket or head bolts doing them on the bike. And I couldn't drive them out like you're trying to do, I ended up making a hook out of a piece of all thread (I think it was 3/4" or 19mm), ground the end to fit in one of the baffle holes, added a bar across the end of the pipes, then put a nut and washer on it and cranked them out.

Getting them back in is fun as they rotate as they go in. I found that almost impossible to do on the bike too, as you can't see where they are going to end up.

I took Mary's swepts off and took them apart. Then i just used a socket and and extension, and after about 5 minutes each came right out.
