Can anyone tell me whats the biggest rear tire I can run on a 2007 m109r without changing the swingarm or rim. Was told 280 and 260. Was there any problem with rubbing rear inner fender. Thanks, Lonnie
well there is some.... debate on this subject... LOL... some say a 280 which your rim is not designed for this size tire tho there are peeps that run it any way some with no problems and some with funny wear.... most say 260.... I have a 250 no problems... google search it and U will have hours of reading to make up your own mind...
280 fits on the stock rim but is only 1/16 of an inch wider than a 250 mounted on the stock rim. I wouldn't put a 280 on there for 1/16 of an inch. Costs more, looks funny, and is designed for a larger rim. No brainer. 250 or 260.
Looks better. The stock 240 tire is cheapo tire. The Elite 250 or Metz 260 or 280 are far superior tires for traction. And yes I would definitely say they handle better for sure 100%.
I'm not personally crazy about a 280 on a stock rim even though others have done it.
