I polished mine. First time trying polishing. It was mentioned to me when I first posted pics of my bike that they thought the raw aluminum look looked like crap. After several months of looking at it I decided to try and polish them. Looks a whole lot better polished. Should have done it a long time ago.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures saved on this computer and I am in between the states and Afghanistan.
I've never seen them painted so that could be an interesting way to have your bike stand out just a little differently than everyone else that has these.
If I was to do it again ( just might this winter when Im going crazy from all the snow and cold) I would polish them first then use the anidiozed paint that I used. looks very cool over a shiny surface.
