Default what kind of helmet do you wear?

well i had my first helmet for about 5 years and i think its time for a new one. so i found a helmet that is perfect for me. it is the scorpion EXO1000.

its got some neat features like a separate tinted shade that comes down on the inside that is great for me because i wear glasses.

but this is what i have now with clear shield.

and this is what is in the mail.

so all that said; what kind of helmet do you wear??

No pics, but I have a Bell full-face for the dragstrip, and a SkidLid half helmet for the street.

I just got HJC's top of the line FS-15 helmet in yellow. Best helmet I've used so far. Very comfortable and noticeably quieter than the HJC CL-SP or Scorpion EXO-400. The yellow is very visible - which is a good thing.

i have a scorpion EXO-700. i love it. it fits great, is light and comfortable, has better than average ventilation and it doesn't fog up. pretty safe to say that i would not hesitate to buy another scorpion in the future.

however, bobbymac posted a helmet that he bought a few months back. i believe it was a GMAX and it looked like it had even better ventilation due to having some serious vents on that thing. i think it was only around $100. i might give that one a try too, just to experiment.

I wear an Arai Quantum. By far the most comfortable, light-weight helmet I've ever owned.

Since my head is so big (XXXL... go ahead... make your jokes now... I'll wait.......................) I am limited to what I can wear.

Right now I have the Scorpian Exo-400 which I got last year and it is comfy but not the quietest.

Also this year I picked up an HJC CL-MAX modular. It kinda hurts the top front of my head right now but I'm working on it. I love flip face helmets and will try and stick with them.

Used to have a Bell Drifter half shell but would get beat up on the highway to work. Bought a HJC AC-12 Carbon 2 years ago and have worn that everytime since...have a dark smoke and silver mirror shield for it.

I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!
