Just fitted my FI2000R yesterday, any advise on setting for K&N High flow air filters & Cobra Dragster pipes.

It's Summer & hot here at the moment (35 deg C or hotter).
Im thinking running 2-3-2 at this point but any other feed back would be great.
    Thanks all.

You can try another .5 to 1. on the 1st pot...1 on the 2nd and another .5 on the 3rd. If your still using the stock air boxes, try sealing the cylinder side intake and opening up the cold side for more colder air through the K&N's. Duck's makes some nice looking functionally superior intake covers,or do a "Tony" mod or just do what I did and drill 90-100 1/4 inch holes in each cover. I call it my "Jason mask" mod

4-5-3. It's rich on hard acceleration, but perfect for everyday here in Hawaii. This beast is just GNARLY on hard throttle.

Thanks I will give that a try.

bigpappa knows what he is talking about, he is the one that convinced me to stay wit hthe FI2000 over the PCIII. and this spring when it gets nice out again and i have my big air and TRE on i am going to take a day and just tune tune tune with the FI and see what happens.

thanks again bigpappa for all you input on this and with everything on the site.

I have just fitted the unit and have F1 display on taco light and flashing on the speedo. Runs fine except a different sound when the key is turned on, hoped I haven't damaged anything pulling the injector plugs off? What do I do next??

    Default fi2000r settings

I am planning on buying the fi2000r and had ?'s about settings after reading this thread I still do,a lot of the members have similar intake exhaust set ups and different settings on fi2000r,would elevations make a difference?I am at 4000' and have K&N filters 8 (1/2"holes drilled, this thread did help a lot.

Start with the Cobra default settings 1-3-2 and adjust up or down as necessary.

Got all the problems sorted out just a loose fuel pump plug. I have the opportunity to use a dyno at the local mech institute as a project for the apprentices, cant wate to see what a stock bike can produce with the baffles removed and a fi2000 fitted.

Running mine at 2-3-2. I have the Barrons big air kit and am running at an altitude of 6000 Feet. Havent had the chance to really fine tune it yet but is running pretty good at this setting.

Those are interesting settings for an altitude of 6000 ft.

    Default Setting for FI2000r

Still trying to tune mine! It got late last night, but when I quit last night at 2-3-2, it was still sputtering and backfiring.

Vance & Hines Bigshots, K&N Air filter, Custom Air Covers .... I am trying a settings of 2-3-2 so far. The ride is smooth, although I did hear 1 deceleration pop today. I don't know if thats not normal as all the sounds from the exhaust are louder so it could be. I can't really tell how much more of an improvement it was over 1-3-2

    Default Setting for FI2000r

Guys I had to go to 3-3-2 to even get the thing to stop stuttering at 3500-4000, and it is still doing it a little. But I got on the autobahn and it ran like I never felt it run before. I'm concern that its still sputtering during cruising speeds. It cleared up a little the longer I rode it. I'm going to work with it a little more later.

I have just adjusted my unit to 2-4-2 .. Still trying to figure out how different it rides. Moving the pot1 from 1-2 seemed to make more of a "Gassy" smell and 1 seems to make small pops on deceleration... very small pops.

had my fi200r since 2008 never missed a beat, settings are 2 4 2 with 2 into 1, pod filters , but are reviewing all the stats , it is way better to unlock the ecu and reset that , better than a power/c and fi200r , and once you unlock the ecu you will never use any thing else

How many of you Cobra unit owners use the JSD or some sort of TRE with it.
With all this talk about how smooth it makes the bike run, I'm wondering the JSD is necessary anymore.

I have a JSD and a Fi2000R on my bike and they appears to be working very happily with eachother, my bike is smooth as ever

got a chance to ride tonight went back to factory settings and so far so good. i think i had a bad ground, i went to pull my unit out to adjust it and the ground wire came out of the connector. i added some extra wire and stripped the end and put it directly on the bat. term. and it is running alot better.
