Smoothed out the low RPMs for me

I have a 2007, 2 baffles removed, 8000 feet elevation. I installed a TRE. I did some power runs up to 85 MPH and found no noticeable difference. I did confirm that it smoothed out the throttle at...

Rear baffle totally removed on my 2007

I bought a used 2007. The 2 rear baffles in both pipes were cut out entirely. Sounds great. Very deep sound and not to loud for me. ( I'm 65 and don't enjoy loud pipes ) I don't know how they cut out...

    Always clutch for me

The slight preload on the shift lever helps to keep the shifting movement of my foot matching the fast wrist movement on the throttle and clutch release. I used to fear transmission damage, but now...

    260/40 rear

You can use all of the tread surface with confidence. Don't know anything about other tires.

    That helped! Install correct

I can see the 3 wires are attached to the back of the transmission so Install must be good. I think that I will run some simple acceleration tests to 80 mph with the TRE in and out. If no difference,...

    I agree

Everything that you say makes perfect logical sense. The next step is to grow a set and complete the 4th gear redline test

To TRE or not to TRE

This is a very interesting discussion. Unfortunately I could not pass a pop quiz on the topic so I would like to ask a simple question. I have a stock 2007. I live and ride at 8000 feet to 11000...

Guess that I will leave well enough alone for now.

The bike runs beautifully. Your leaning comments make sense. We run small airplanes leaned out well below the correct sea level mixture. My 9 gets 45 miles per gallon.

I am guessing that this bike will be down right scary at sea level for me. Can't wait to see.

    Lack of air

I have stock everything except 2 exhaust baffles removed. I believe at 8000 feet, every normally aspirated engine can only develop 75% power due to less dense air. On the top of Independence Pass...

Not sure that I need more power yet. ( Beginner ) I'm at 8000 feet, so I can only get 75% power out of normally aspirated engines. I have a 2007. Do you think it would be a fit and be a noticeable...
