    clutch Basket loose

    So would not the clutch basket have some play in it. I never actually dismantled that nut cause it seemed everything was tight especially since there is a locked washer on the tube nut with the bend...

    for what it is worth just found out I had a problem with shifting and the ball joint is runbbing against the crankcase cover. don't know it this applies to the mod on the M109.

    linkage ok

    Long idle

    I'll do a little more research but since the overheat light has never come on I think I can safetly assume all is OK. Also from all the replies it seems the fan doesn't run a lot.

    Synthetic oil vs fan cooling

    I also do run full synthetic oil so that may be the thing. I probably don't have a problem. the overheat light has never come on.

    We'll see when I ride in AZ this spring.

    When i bought my used 109 no manual. Have shop manual on order but in the meantime want to put in some new spark plugs. Stealer gave me NGKCR8EK. what should the gap be on these.

    Really only got to run it up and down the street. that time of year. But only thing I have done since i got the bike was to put the baffles back into the cobra pipes.

    Just a bit of info here. In BC we use the damn 4 x 8 license plate so buying some of the custom plate holders wouldn't work out of the box. Especially ones with the frame lighting.
