Kuryakyn makes rear adapter for the 9.
Try an easy out. If that don’t work, drill and tap it.
Sounds like clutch cable needs adjusted. Depending on how long it has been going on, you may have to replace the plates too.
Andy (Some9) did mine along with a lot of others. I would contact him for the dimensions if you need the answer quick.
you asked for straight feed back so...
For what you are wanting it for, my advice probably will not be the popular vote on this site. I would recommend the Concours14. With the power windshield,...
Yes, the third wire makes your turn signals running lights. That is the way it comes from the factory.
Cool, never seen those on a 9 before.
What is the black thing along side the rear cowl?
It is not the most modern website, but he is still selling parts. If you want to confirm, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “contact us” it has his phone number listed.
So... you can work out the timing for sturgis, just not for the MAM? I see how it is.... :joke::D
Well, the invite still stands. Bring either or both of your 9s to the MAM next year. It will be the week following fathers day in Staunton, VA. Mark your calendar and start talking with some of the...
Good to hear that you got the cable issue worked out. Looks really good. Nice and clean with all the wires and cables hidden.
Congrats Palmer! That is a good looking 9. I would definitely keep it. Bring them both to the MAM next year. You can never have to many bikes!
ive been away from the site for a while. What...
What matters is the gear ratio, not how many gears it has. Everyone gets hung up on 6 speed vs 5 speed. It doesn’t matter if it had 26 speeds. What matters is if the final over drive is geared right...
If you are wanting motor work, Matt (futurR) is the one you want to get in touch with. He has his number in his signature. Click link below.
if not, exhaust, intake, and an ECU...
Welcome aboard! There is not much that I could add that hasn’t already been said. Good luck with your search. Don’t completely exclude brand a new 9. I’ve seen brand new 9s advertised for $9k- $10k...
I have done 500+ mile days on mine. Most of my day rides are 300+ miles. Never had a windshield on it. That said, I prefer to take longer rides on either of my other two bikes. This is mostly due to...
I figured it might. My 9 is up on the lift right now. Picture is worth a 1000 words right?
There is a lot more that can be done with an ECU flash. The tuner has full access to to fuel maps, OEM restrictions, etc. the PCV it primarily a fuel map tuner. Most still run other inline gadgets to...
So far so good here. I’ll be keeping an eye on it for a while.
This is the only one I can find of the flats lit up. it was before I finished installing them. It is sitting on the front tire. Picture uploaded sideways for some reason. Sorry.
You can see the flats where the stock signals are normally in the first picture. Stealth signals in the second picture.
You would think the clutch cable failure rate would be low, but there have been very few years where there wasn’t at least one clutch cable fail and get changed out alongside the road. None this year...
Glad they are not ape hangers! That just wouldn’t look right on a 9. Hahaha! I can see where you would need the extra length running them inside the bars tho. Since the cable is going to be in the...
